Jonathan P. Vuotto is a founding partner of the firm. Jon is an experienced commercial litigator with a diverse practice. He has successfully guided clients through a wide variety of complex disputes.
Jon has developed particular experience in the substantive areas of creditors’ rights, real estate, environmental, construction, and professional liability litigation. His practice includes serving clients in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Prior to forming McAndrew Vuotto with Bob McAndrew, Jon was a partner in the Commercial Litigation department at Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Perretti, LLP, one of New Jersey’s oldest and most prominent law firms.
Jon has successfully tried cases in the state courts of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, and the federal courts in the District of New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Jon has also successfully represented clients in American Arbitration Association proceedings and administrative law matters.
In addition to his work at the trial level, Jon is an experienced appellate practitioner. He has prosecuted and defended against appeals in the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, the New York Court of Appeals, the New York and New Jersey Appellate Divisions, and the Pennsylvania Superior Court. Jon also was a contributor to the annual Supplement for the New Jersey Practice Series Appellate Practice and Procedure treatise from 2007 through 2017. He completed a judicial clerkship for the Hon. Jack L. Lintner (ret.) of the New Jersey Appellate Division in the 2004-2005 court year.
Thomson Reuters included Jon on New Jersey’s Business Litigation Super Lawyers list for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Thomson Reuters previously included Jon on the New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Star list for Business Litigation from 2010 through 2014.
